Denis started writing for community newspapers in high school. He rediscovered his passion for working in this medium while working for The Halifax Commoner in university.
The creativity that this medium allows is fantastic. While at the Commoner Denis wrote a column on public spaces in Halifax, drew an editorial cartoon and wrote news stories every week.
